"Gotten this book and could not wait to try out the recipes which I was drawn to. Numerous to be exact, because to me they all sounded absolutely delicious!
It was a matter of seeing if the proof was indeed in the pudding, as they say. I mean, of course, there was the chance that I could be doing the wrong things despite having the right instructions written there for me, but I kinda see myself as a semi-competent cook these days, so the chances of mixing up good instructions would be small indeed.
First up was the spicy meatballs with a sweet kick, and boy did the folks kick it down their stomach as soon as they got a whiff of those meatballs. Clamoring for more even. I was happy with that result and you know what? The entire cooking time took about 30 minutes, damn sight faster than when I did my meatballs the usual way.
Next I got my sights on some tropical fish curry, something to continue the spicy theme, and again I am proud to say it was a really really easy to cook and good to eat kinda dish. I wasn’t the only one to say that, echoing my sentiments were my folks, whom a little over a year ago, were the sort who tried means and ways to squirm out of the family meals because they were plainly tough to swallow. Well, not anymore!
The first two recipes were followed by several more from the lamb, poultry and vegetables section. All done to good effect and they were all delish.
So far, the only thing I have not tried yet are the desserts. Partly because I do have a sweet tooth, and I am kinda wary about indulging it for fear of going overboard with it. You know those times when you just whip up a New York cheesecake or lemon-lime cake, and then it seems tough to go a day without having a slice of it. Those kinds of situations I would like to avoid, that’s the reason for the temporary hold off from doing up desserts. I can feel it though, the urge and want to get something sweet. Oh my.
Anyhow, I like how this cookbook has given me and my folks lots of choices and more importantly, the instructions which turn out perfectly delicious meals. Great!"

Instant Pot Cookbook For Delicious Meals Chockful Of Recipes That Is Ready In 30 Minutes Or Less Pressure Cooker Meal Recipes Made Easy edition by Lindy Reynolds Cookbooks Food Wine eBooks Reviews
- I have got to cook for quite a number of folks in the house, and with different mouths come different tastes and palates. To borrow a pun , with greater number of mouths to feed, comes greater responsibilities. I firmly agree and that, which is why I can be found trawling online to look out for good deals when it comes to recipe books. I need those which are easier to cook , takes lesser time, and are wholly suitable for cooking for more people.
My initial searches weren’t quite successful, I mean, we all have our share of duds and no doubt I went through that as well. One of the books I got, even named the author on the first page, but had a wholly different name on the back cover, talk about serious need for editing. That was not the main point though. Quite a few of the books I had were giving instructions that just did not seem right. Though my instinct told me so, I still followed them to the letter and then in the process ruined my first pressure cooker through a mix of bad instructions and some wear and tear. This is my second one and I can say these days I pick and choose my cookbooks with more finesse and a clearer eye.
This cookbook I can safely say, pushes all my right buttons. I have a choice of recipes which are quick to prepare and cook , while I also have my pick of meals which can be prepped for more people when the occasion calls for it. The instructions were clear, and it was really helpful to have a gauge of the time spent in the pot for all of the recipes as provided in the book. I mean, I am a fairly seasoned user of the pot, but I still find that it is a generally good reminder, what with all the natural venting and pressure release and what not for different recipes.
And the meals were delicious to boot! I have got my folks clamoring for the lamb as well as the poultry dishes when I first tried out the recipes, you know , me being cautious and all and with good reason, after having been through my previous experiences.
Cooking for many has never been easier, and I got to say I am happy with what I have gotten. - Gotten this book and could not wait to try out the recipes which I was drawn to. Numerous to be exact, because to me they all sounded absolutely delicious!
