Reading one of Reina Torres of Historical sweet romance is like watching a Hallmark movie in your mind.
I was swept away with this Enchanted story of Andrew Brooks and RoseMary Tillman. The opticals each one faced through the story keeps you on the edge of your set at times.
I also fell in love with other characters who are in the story as well. The love in this book is magical for sure. I can not wait to read more in this series by this author for sure.

Andrew Brooks gets a job as cargo manager on a ship named Siren. Rosemary Tillman works in the kitchen, but wants to be something more.
They forge a strong connection but others stand in their way of love. New friendships are formed and long kept secrets are revealed.
Loved the Captain and how caring he is towards his crew. Andrew was such a gentleman towards Rosemary, it was so sweet. The characters were well developed and I fell in love with them. - This book is sweet but to short Rosemary grew up on The Siren not remembering her mother and never knowing her father. The workers on the ship were her family Andrew grew up on The sea not by his choice. He lands a job on the ship and finds an interest in Rosemary. Can they make it work despite a secret that could destroy them
- Andrew Brooks grew up on board a Merchant ship, entertaining people with music. He first was pressed into service for that ship, but it didn't work for him. Before they rid themselves of him they realized he could entertain the crew with music. He has heard about the School that retrains Seamen for a different future. Dare he try to become something better? He takes the chance and learns a trade. Managing cargo on the Steamboat the Siren gives him a much better future in his eyes.
Rosemary Tillman has worked her way up in the kitchen aboard the Siren to Cook. She dreams of other things. She wants to be a singer. She spends her free time listening to the music and dreams of entertaining with her voice. Can these two become a wonder and have a future larger than either of them imagined?
As in any love story, there will be some storms to endure and their love will be tested.
Such wonderful and engaging characters. They grabbed me instantly and pulled me into this amazing book. Reina Torres is one of my favorite Authors and her books do not disappoint!
I received an ARC of this book and am choosing to leave an honest review. - Once again, this author has written a most wonderful story of love and romance and this time on River boat on the Mississippi River called the Siren.
Her captain has such great love for this boat that has many secrets, one surrounding the lovely cook’s assistant.
The new cargo master just hired on finds himself in the kitchen hoping for bite to eat before the crew actually gets their dinner.
He is instantly smitten with this lovely woman that he wants to court her.
The captain of the river boat has a wonderful demeanor and is very kind to the crew. His wife however is not.
This story has well built wonderful characters in all of them mentioned. It has fun, and happiness for the most part as the crew feels like a big ole family aboard this boat.
However it has it dark secrets as well and it will be a matter of what love can entail and endure if our hero and heroine can find there way through messy scandal that was on this boot that only one lady cares about and causes many problems for the person who is an innocent in it all.
I received an ARC from the author but this is my honest opinion that I was not forced to give. I loved this story and I want others to discover it and find how delightful this author is to read. - I was sent an Arc of The Sailor and the Siren.

Please check out this wonderful delightful book of clean historical romance by Reina Torres you will not regret the adventure waiting for you - This book has more meaning and feeling than I had anticipated so I was surprised to read long into the night and not put the book down. The way this story is written, a reader "feels" the undertones of racial bias, as well as, the absolute love by Andrew for the wonderful kitchen help he knew as Rosemary. He was shanghaied off the wharf as a small boy, enslaved for much of his life, learned unbelievable talents that saved his life, and, saw no color, nationality or nobility of any man or woman. I absolutely loved this story-line and will long remember Andrew's goodness for everyone.
- One of the things I like about reading historical books is learning how people lived life in those times and how different thing are. I love reading about the music of that period and the author did a wonderful job of incorporating her love if music with her love of writing books. Andrews work in ships is not something he can live iff until he's love for music is discovered. Not only does music gives him a life but it changes it in the best of ways. Amongst challenges and chaos Andrew discovers love and acceptance in this beautiful story.
- A quick, easy read that takes place in the 1800 on a steam boat in Mississippi.
Matthew has come to love the water and ships, in an unusual way. When he meets the captain of The Siren, their love of The Siren is evident by the way they speak of it with such reverence.
Rosemary works in the kitchen as a cook on The Siren and is instantly attracted to Matthew when he joins the crew. Not only because of his good looks, but because he is a genuine gentleman.
This is a nice story, It’s main characters are sweet, innocent and show kindness to others.Heart warming, touching moments, sweet romance , musical talents all made this a good story. It leaves you feeling happy .
