War is looming in the East and when Tate and his son Sean meet with General Harney, commanding officer of Fort Laramie, each is tasked with special duties. Tate must scout and guide for the General and his troops as they leave the frontier to join the calamity in St. Louis. Sean is asked to be prepared to scout for the troops that remain and the new commanders that will be sent into the land of the restless Sioux. But first, the young scout, who knows the mountains, must learn about the country and people of the plains.
After meeting with the chiefs of the Brulé, he travels with his new friend, White Fox, to meet with the Miniconjou. But an encounter with the warring Crow, intent on revenge against the Ogalala, results in his friend taken captive. Sean is the only hope for her safe return, but he must also do what he can to keep the Lakota from all-out war against a depleted force holding Fort Laramie.
Muleskinners determined to make it to the goldfields of Colorado, crooked bankers and suppliers, and young warriors wanting to gain honors in battle, all come together to challenge the young scout in his first endeavor to bring peace to the prairie.

Territory Tyranny Rocky Mountain Saint eBook BN Rundell Reviews
- As always each and every Saint book, and I.have been privileged to read all of them, are certainly worthy of five stars. This is another outstanding masterpiece of old American western folklore that is overwhelmingly heartwarming and captivated my undivided attention immediately. Never a dull moment, and the compassionate and endearing love story between Sean and White Fox certainly certainly gets your heartstrings in rhythmic alignment with each new adventure!
Sean, regardless of his age, had an excellent teacher, his father, The Rocky Mountain Saint, and his outstanding leadership assignments could not have been any better depicted by the author. The storylines and character selections were perfectly selected, as the story was exceptionally descriptive of what, I often perceive as real old western trials and tribulations that plagued our ancestors!
If this is your first Saint book I strongly suggesting your next investment should be book one and then follow the complete book in sequence. I have, fortunately, read all of these outstanding episodes and enjoyed all of them and without hesitation, recommend all of them, regardless of your reading pleasure. I have never found one of these books that was not five stars worthy, and I believe all of you, especially you lovers of exceptionally outstanding western adventures, will find yourselves completely satisfied! Definitely your loss if you choose not to enjoy them!😤 - Thank you B. N. Randell for a awesome read. I have enjoyed all these books on the Saint family. Was glad to read about Sean growing into such a great young man. Can’t wait to see his parents reaction to his being married. I look forward to the next book.
- I am a big fan of stories based on this era of American history. Mr Rundell is an excellent writer in that I can picture the story as if I were watching a movie. I will be looking forward to the next book in the Rocky Mountain Saint series.
- Good characters nd plot.SEAN BELIEVE IN telling the truth. He meets White Fox and she helps him. Romance and trust build looking for another of Rundell'sbooks. This one made me read late.
- I’ve become an ardent fan and I believe I’ve read about everything this youngster has written and I’ve yet to be disappointed. The only thing I don’t like is the wait between them but, I’ve learned.
- Love the addition of the wolf to the story line. Suspensse and excitement from the start to the end of story
- Sean Saint carried this one! Always interesting and enjoyable. The characters are so believable and fascinating you almost feel like they were a part of history.
- Wonderful story of Sean and White Fox in the Mountain Saint series. Bob Rundell is indeed a true wordsmith. It's an unmitigated joy to read a western writer that actually knows what they're talking about. I also write historical fiction westerns and he makes me want to be a better writer.
I find so many western authors don't know sic 'em from come here about horses, tack and/or weapons...Not so with Mister Rundell. He weaves a wonderful story that, at the same time, fulfills the dictum that a story is a place to hang knowledge on.
You'll love his characters and if you're like me, you'll find yourself talking to them...They truly become real.
A story not to be missed.
